I don't think the error you got regarding logging should stop resolve from starting, if you get rid of the other error and it still doesn't work we'll take a look at that. I checked all the dependencies with ldd on the resolve binary and i have them all installed. Guess what, resolve still not starting (but this time is showing in the welcome setup screen a green tick next to the gpu). I tested the new driver setup with hashcat benchmark and it was all fine.

I spent two hours installing amdgpu-pro (it officialy supports only 18.04 but it works just fine on 20.04) and i followed this procedure (based on this tutorial):Ĭhanged the /etc/os-release file to install 18.04 packages on 20.04 I searched online and i discovered that resolve only works on the proprietary OpenCL packages from amdgpu-pro and you also have to uninstall the FOSS ones (ROCm). Next, i tried to update my graphics driver from an external PPA repo but resolve was still not starting. I followed this tutorial and on my pc resolve was not only showing the little yellow triangle next to my gpu (in the welcome setup screen) but it wasn't starting at all.

This dude installed ROCm with a couple of commands, on top of the open source amdgpu drivers and Resolve was working just fine.
